About

Jane L. Spies-Wert, PhD PC

I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience walking alongside teens and adults through seasons of change, challenge, and growth. My patients are thoughtful, accomplished people who look like they’re doing just fine on the outside - but inside, they feel anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. They’re navigating transitions like a career shift, launching kids to school, marriage or divorce, retirement, empty nest, or changes in health, identity, or body image. Sometimes these shifts come with clear grief or emotional pain, others come with more subtle discomfort - restlessness, irritability, or self-doubt that’s hard to explain.

Therapy is not about fixing you - it is about finding you.  I believe healing happens in the presence of another person who sees you clearly, holds space for your truth and helps you remember the strength you already carry.

In our work together, I offer a steady, compassionate space to slow down and sort through what’s happening. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, research-informed, and deeply human.

Whether you are managing anxiety or depression - or just feeling like you’ve lost touch with yourself, I believe therapy is a place of reconnection, insight, and growth.

The butterfly symbolizes my belief in the strength that it takes to engage in the process of deep personal growth - emerging from struggle into self-awareness, resilience, and freedom.
